Disability Person with disabilities and at risk of disabilities access inclusive health and rehabilitation services, Sustainable livelihood activities for persons with disabilities and their families is increased and Access and inclusion in Govt. program, schemes, policies and institution through combined efforts of DPOs and concerned stakeholders is strengthened.
Environment
Forests play an important role in the protection and promotion of environment, ecology and biodiversity. So, protection, forestation and management are our focused thrusts. We strongly oppose to the establishment of big industries, dam, mining at the expense of the local community in the forest area and deforestation activities which cause air, soil, and water pollution and threaten the environment and livelihood of the local people. We facilitate the community towards better access and control over their natural resources and Common Property Resources.
Institutional Development
Promotion and strengthening of local bodies is one of the main thrusts of the organization. To promote local leadership, strengthen and empower the communities we conduct various capacity building activities and information dissemination on Panchayat Raj Institution, Panchayat Extension to Scheduled Areas, NREGA, Forest Right Act, Right to Education Act & Right to Information Act, for the members of Gram Sabha, CBOs and NTFP co-operatives.
Livelihoods Support
We strive to ensure and promote livelihood opportunities for the rural community. In this regard we work for Natural Resource Management, watershed development, livestock and improvement in NTFPs along with sustainable agriculture practices.
Displacement
Displacement is very common due to establishment of huge industries and mining. We strongly oppose to these types of establishments and also provide right information, legal and advocacy services to the local bodies for decision making and action by the community.
Education
We give priority for promotion of Early Childhood care, Education and Development primary education by providing activity based quality education in tribal areas for promotion of children’s education especially girl children.
Health
MSS promotes traditional system of medicines through the existing local traditional practitioners for treatment of common ailments.
